Job Description
The On-Site Experience Site Lead serves as the primary point of contact and operational leader for our workplace dining presence primarily at a specific client’s headquarters in downtown Los Angeles. You are responsible for working collaboratively with the On-Site Experience Management and Client Solutions teams to ensure a seamless, high-touch hospitality experience by leading a team of On-Site Catering Coordinators (OCCs) across multiple buildings and offices for the same client.
As the dedicated Site Lead, you balance high-level administrative tasks such as scheduling, inventory management, and event planning with hands-on floor leadership. You are the "face" of the service for the client and the lead for your team, ensuring every meal service and event is executed to the highest standard.
This role is part-time (about 20 hours per week) in the Greater Los Angeles area.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Site Service Execution & Operational Excellence
- Work with the On-Site Experience team to oversee meal service, from setup to breakdown
- Direct meal flow, replenish food and service assets quickly, and serve as the on-site expert for ingredient and allergen questions
- Collaborate with Cater2.me Client Solutions team to problem-solve issues that come up during the meal service
- Be ready to answer all client questions, including about ingredients and allergens
- Support additional client tasks around their snack and pantry program, including restocking, inventory control, and order support
Planning & Logistics
- Collaborate closely with the client and the assigned Client Solutions Lead to coordinate daily lunch services and any special catering requests; this involves menu reviews, identifying necessary equipment for each service, and designing buffet arrangements.
- Maintain inventory, including catering equipment (chafing dishes, utensils, etc.), and staff uniforms
- Act as the first point of escalation for any on-site issues (e.g., late deliveries, dietary requirement mix-ups, or equipment failure)
Client Relations
- Maintain a professional and proactive relationship with the client’s facilities and workplace teams.
- Lead OCC team’s daily collection of feedback and reporting to ensure Cater2.me’s Client Solutions team has detailed knowledge of each meal, helping to iterate and improve the program.
Team Leadership
- Serve as the primary on-site leader responsible for the flawless execution of all catering operations, identifying and implementing immediate process improvements to enhance service quality.
- Act as the lead for implementing on-site changes, including the introduction of new equipment, updated service protocols, or refined workflows
- Directly oversee the OCC team at the primary site and nearby second office.
- Manage the weekly shift schedule for all OCCs across your two sites, ensuring full coverage for daily meals and special events
- Run and verify daily opening/closing checklists to ensure the office environment and catering areas are "guest-ready" at all times
- Lead daily walkthroughs of all service areas to ensure brand standards are met and the client’s culture is being reflected in our service
- Lead the onboarding and training process for all new OCCs, ensuring they master site-specific protocols, safety standards, and hospitality etiquette.
- Provide real-time feedback and coaching to the team to maintain a high level of service.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in hospitality, catering, or high-end corporate services. Prior experience as a Supervisor or Team Lead is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead a team, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain morale in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface with corporate executives and vendors alike.
- Exceptional time-management skills with the ability to manage schedules and inventory across multiple locations
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar) and video conferencing software highly preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as needed for event setup
- Have a hospitality mindset a "no task is too small" attitude and a passion for creating great experiences
- Have an eye for the small things from a crooked tablecloth to an empty snack jar.
- Be a consistent presence that the client and the team can depend on daily.
Compensation and Benefits:
